The Author

Due to an overzealous attempt to do a double crossing of the Tongariro Alpine Crossing (North Island, New Zealand), a knee injury and subsequent unwellness, the architect behind this website idea is holed up for part of 2008 dreaming about new sporting related websites for the rest of us, and jealously eyeing his friends doing the winter orienteering season...

Perhaps a double crossing was not such a good an idea on the back of an ascent of Mt Egmont? Maybe he should have listened to his mum. In any regard, we hope you find this website useful for your event thinking, and encourage you to email me sport@onesportevent.com any feedback on how I can improve it.

Grand Canyon single crossing - the only shade!!
